The most awaited movie of 2023 – Gadar 2 is announced to be released on 11th August 2023.

It is the sequel movie of Gadar – Ek Prem Katha which was a blockbuster hit in the year 2001.

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel were seen in the lead roles, capturing the love from all over the world and now after a long gap of 21 years, Tara Singh is again coming up with a bang of a performance – which has been directed by Anil Sharma. 

Gadar 2 will be the second instalment of the blockbuster franchise and is going to recast both the lead actors again and continue the story of Tara Singh, Sakeena and Charanjeet who essayed the role of a son in the first part. 

The movie is directed and produced by Anil Sharma, where Shaktiman Talwar is the story writer.

The very first poster was introduced on 26 January 2023 on the occasion of Republic Day. The poster shows Sunny Deol (Tara Singh) holding a Hammer and is seen to be very angry and in fighting mode. The roar of Sunny Deol was magnificent in the early 90’s era and creating the same angry looking avatar have chiseled the movie lovers as they can never imagine another Tara Singh for this hit role. The Social Media was flooded with tons of positive overviews. 

Gadar 2 Story Explained 

After 24 years of dilemma leap. 

Sunny Deol casted as Tara Singh is set against the backdrop of Indo Pak war 1971 and he is going to save his son Jeete from a turbulent war.

Gadar was based on Tara Singh and Sakeena love story which was set during the partition period where the history witnessed a baffled Partition based on the idea of two nation theory where Pakistan was created as a new separate independent nation. This paved the way for the violence in the two landmasses, where one fine day Tara Singh came as the blessings in disguise for Sakeena who was running after her life in order to stay safe, but in Gadar 2 it will be more of son and father bonding. 

Gadar – The Katha Continues

In the first part we witnessed Sunny Deol as Tara who can do anything for the love of his life, Sakeena. He went all the way to Pakistan for Ameesha Patel but in Gadar 2 it seems like he can do anything for his son Charanjeet to get him out from Pakistan where the narrative was set during the turbulent Indo – Pak war of 1971. 

Sunny Deol is an ace star and it will be interesting to watch the screenplay that has to be impactful in order to drive people to the theatres. 

Gadar 2 budget 

As per reports, Gadar 2 is a 100 crore film,  but the expectation from the movie is so high of hitting a blockbuster list. 

Where if we will talk about the part one of Gadar – Ek Prem Kahani. The movie was made on a budget of 18.5 crores INR.

Gadar 2 hit or flop 

Gadar 2 is going to be a hit movie backing up the first part of the sequel made which was a blockbuster itself.

The movie is expected to carry the legacy as per the fan following of Tara Singh and Sakeena but lets not forget of a fact that Sunny Deol hasn’t really delivered a strong oriented performance at the Box Office after Yamla Pagla Deewana. 

The casting of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel looks stale and dry that is why the makers of the film are touching upon the emotions of a Father – Son Relationship. Sunny Deol is an efficient actor who very well knows how to ace this role in his own yard.

Gadar 2 villain name is “Rohit Choudhary”

Rohit in an interview mentioned that he signed the film for a small role but as the director liked his acting in his challenging role, he decided to extend his part. 

With this Rohit Chaudhary also mentioned that, the Director and Producer Anil Sharma is his friend and both of them are also working on another sequence film  “Apne 2”
