The Much Awaited Tiku Weds Sheru trailer is out and Nawazuddin Siddiqui & Avneet Kaur will be seen sharing the screen space for the first time in Kangana Ranaut’s maiden production venture Manikarnika Films. The film will be streaming on the global platform Amazon Prime Video from 23rd of June.

Tiku Weds Sheru is directed by Sai Kabir and is bagged by Manikarnika Films which is a production house venture of the Bollywood’s Queen Kangana Ranaut. The film is set in Bhopal which depicts a quirky love – comedy between Nawazuddin Siddiqui & the digital space prowess Avneet Kaur.

What is unique about this movie Tiku Weds Sheru ?

Apparently after the trailer is dropped by the much awaited Tiku Weds Sheru, one of the prime things which is seen is the newly lead roles casting which looks a bit unusual but breaks the stereotypical pattern of justifying the narrative in the Tier 2 cities of telling a story. 

 will be the main guiding force on whose shoulders the entire ship of Tiku Weds Sheru will be mounted, but it is interesting to see the screen presence of Avneet Kaur while delivering some of the dialogues in the easiest of manner.

Trust me, getting a pairing opposite of Nawazzudin Siddiqui and sharing the same stature with him is a task in itself. I suppose, Avneet is geared up for his new innings and will rise accordingly as she will progresses in the industry. 

It will be evident to see some comic timing as Zakir Hussain’s ‘Corona Ho gaya tha’ dialogue has shown its glimpses in the official trailer. 

Expectations

The trailer looked grippy and the highlight points are the story will start from Bhopal and Tiku (Avneet Kaur) will be marrying Nawazuddin Siddiqui (Sheru) who is twice his age for the sake of getting out of Bhopal so that she could pursue her dream of making a name in the Hindi Film Industry. Sheru in the starting of the trailer is described as the Junior Artist who knows how to tackle things under his belt while staying in Mumbai. 

In all the hustle and bustle the love story is revolving from Bhopal – Mumbai where some of the romantic glimpses of Nawaz & Avneet have been showcased. It will be a challenge for the director to showcase the chemistry between the two fresh pairs and the migration post switch into the screen. 

To date, the acting seems realistic with some of the golden moments being shared between the lead pairs. The camera work is up to the mark and probably a lot cannot be said as the theme of the film Tiku Weds Sheru looks like a normal bollywood angle. 

It will be interesting to see how the director Sai Kabir will be showcasing his talent with this beautiful star cast in the movie, which has been aligned on his side. The theme is not new but the presentation will be worthwhile to watch. 

Remember one thing, this type of content is what makes something pleasing to watch out for which is evidently missing from the typical commercial hindi movies. 

It will be interesting for the makers to release Tiku Weds Sheru on Amazon Prime Video as the movie can be difficult to find a theatrical release because of the subject. Post covid, the content which is rich in their content gets an applause from the audience as the people are skeptical to go to the theaters  because they know, this film will be coming on any OTT platform in a month’s time.

As the producer Kangana Ranaut was very intrigued about this subject where the age gap was widely evident in the script. For the role of Sheru, Kangana wanted to approach the legendary actor Irfaan to portray the role but due to his untimely demise, she considered Nawazuddin can justify this role as Sheru which will be according to the script.

The epic portrayals of roles that she has done has credited her with several appreciations from the film lovers and also into the film fraternity. Apparently, Kangana will be seen in the upcoming projects where she will be essaying the role of Indian Air Force Pilot in a movie named Tejas which is scheduled to be released soon. After that she will be seen in a biopic film where she is revamping her role as the Former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in Emergency. She is producing and directing the film Emergency as well.
